Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Region 6, Olympic National Forest, is issuing a request for quotations for Genetic and Molecular Analyses of the Jumping Slugs from the Pacific Northwest. This analysis emphasizes the relationship between the Burrintoni jumping-slug, Hemphillia burringtoni and the warty jumping slug, Hemphillia glandulosa in Western Washington. Mitochondrial DNA and anatomical analysis of specimens from two species of jumping slugs will be conducted. As available, several other species from this family will also be analyzed. Solicitation R6-Oly-1-30-O will be issued on or about August 7, 2001, with quotes due on September 7, 2001. The contract time will be September 2001 through September 2002. This acquisition will be advertised as a Request for Quotations in accordance with FAR Part 13. This is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The Service Contract Act applies to this solicitation.
