- Description
- The Department of Education's (ED) Division of Vocational and Technical Education (DVTE) proposes a contract entitled, "The National Training and Support Center" (NTSC), which would secure logistical support in the provision of technical assi stance to the states' America's Career Resource Network (ACRN) entities. Section 118 of the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 1998 requires the dissemination of information about high quality practices and development and d issemination of products and services related to the activities of state ACRN entities. ED is soliciting an indefinite-deli very/indefinite-quantity task-order contract to procure above stated technical assistance. DVTE will issue work and suppor t under a task order, on an as-needed, quick-turnaround basis in which case periodic brief work requests will be issued and work performed under tight deadlines. The contract period of performance will be one year with two option years. The contract willl involve development, publication and dissemination of career development resources. Also, coordi nation and implementation of a national training agenda, national and regional annual meetings, public information, marketin g activities, and management of Real Game web site, and related research activities. NTSC will support DVTE's mission of the ACRN, under Section 118 of Perkins 111, by: 1. conference and meeting planning, provide management support; 2. editing, designing, printing and disseminating a wide variety of career development and occupational information publications for use by State entities; 3. conducting a variety of public information, training, and technical assistance functions; and 4. managing/overseeing appropriate research analysis and activities, as required.
