Description

The Government intends to procure on a sole source basis ONE each of the following: P/N DAMHU Application Module Adaptor. Dimension 3100 Scanning Probe Microscope for Normal Modes and Application Modules; P/N DSCMS Scanning Capacitance Microscopy. SCM Application Module for Dimension Series Scanning Probe Microscope; P/N DAME31U Application Module Electronics Upgrade for use with Digital Instruments Dimention 3100 Scanning Probe Microscope to Perform Scanning Capacities Microscopy, from VEECO METROLOGY, LLC, 112 Robin Hill Road, Santa Barbara, CA 93117. These items are required to update existing microscope systems purchased under N00178-99-C-3014 to support the critical nanotechnology missions of the Systems Research and Technology Department. Only Veeco Metrology manufactures the microscopes and modules that are compatible with the current instruments, and any less than complete compatibility will cause damage to the existing systems and compromise department programs. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13). This requirement will be awarded on an all or none basis by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100.
