Description
The Social Security Administration is interested in receiving quotes on brand-name or equal LIEBERT UPSTATION GXT MODEL GXT3000RT-120B, 3000VA CAPABILITY, 2100 WATTS, 120 INPUT &OUTPUT, BLACK ENCLOSURE. The contractor shall certify that each UPS unit has been factory tested prior to shipping. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written request for quotation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is request for quotations (RFQ) number SSA-RFQ-01-0337. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27. The associated NAICS code is 335999; this is a small business set-aside solicitation. The small business threshold for this NAICS code is 500 employees. If submitting a quote for an "or equal" UPS unit, contractor shall include product literature with the quote. Written quotations submitted in response to this notice shall be submitted by 3:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on August 10, 2001 and shall be addressed to the Social Security Administration, Office of Acquisitions and Grants, Attention: Amy Pasciak (telephone: 410-965-9496), 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21207. Delivery shall be made 15 days after receipt of order. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (OCT 2000) applies to this acquisition. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government based on quoted price for the brand-name or equal UPS unit and evaluation of product literature. Offerors must propose a Firm-Fixed-Price, FOB Destination. The period of acceptance for offers is 60 days. Offers which fail to include all required information may be rejected without further consideration. Offerors are required to include a completed and signed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (MAY 2001) with their quotation. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items (MAY 2001) applies to this Acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (MAY 2001) applies to this acquisition, especially -- (a) (1) & (2), (b) (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (16), (18), (21), & (25). The clauses are available at www.arnet.gov/far. A written contract or notice of award will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror, within the time frame for acceptance of offers, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
