- Description
- The USMC intends to procure 30 Bolt Integral Picture Frame Refrigeration Units, initial quantity of 223 each, with option quantity of 283 each. The integral refrigeration units shall be new, unused and user friendly, the units shall be of a proven quality to be in three-year continuous Open-Ocean deployment cycles. The tare weight must not exceed 1100 +/-200 lbs. Ambient Temperature ratings shall be at a minimum to operate in a range from -20 Deg. F. to +120 Deg.F. All refrigeration units must have Open Ocean environments ratings for salinity and high relative humidity for severe atmospheric conditions (temperature, wind, rain, and spindrift variations.) Rolling, pitching, listing, shock, and vibration parameters must be provided. Refrigeration Units with only commercial onshore applications and materials will not be considered. The refrigeration unit has to fit and function when installed in an 8-ft and 8-ft 6in height by 8-ft wide by 20-ft long ISO series Reefer Container. Must be able to provide "world wide" engineering support for problem solving/trouble shooting and be available on a 24 hour 7 day week schedule for repair parts. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. A commercial brochure showing the detailed specifications of the product offered must accompany each proposal. Must be registered with CCR to receive award. This procurement is being conducted under the simplified acquisition procedures identified with FAR 12 for commercial items. As such, the award may be made within 30 days of the date of this announcement. Solicitation document will be posted on www.neco.navy.mil within 5 days of this announcement. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of amend ments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own solicitation.
