- Description
- MODIFICATION 0002: This modification incorporates the following minutes into the combined synopsis/solicitation for the above referenced RFQ 20903-021. A pre-bid conference was held at 9:00 am on July 18, 2001 at the FCI McKean training center to discuss project specifications, security requirements, and to perform a site inspection. In attendance were the following parties: Peter Digel, FCI McKean, Contract Specialist, Thomas Kerek, Construction Representative, Kevin Menendez, General Foreman, Darwin Martin, Facility Manager, Bob Link, Garnon Mobility, R. L. Klark, Camp Administrator. All contractors on the bid list and anyone requesting these minutes will receive a copy. The following questions were raised during the conference: Question 1: Can FCI McKean provide transportation of contractor's equipment from rear gate to installation site for gymnasium lift? Yes. Question 2: Where can tools be stored during construction? Tools shall be stored in standard size gang box under contractor lock. Gang box shall be stored in central tools room. Question 3: Will tools be inventoried upon entrance and exit of the institution? Yes. Question 4: What hours will the contractor have for actual work time? 7:45 am to 2:45 pm at gymnasium site 7:00 am to 3:30 pm at camp housing unit site. Question 5: Will the contractor be escorted at all times while inside the institution secured perimeter and at the camp housing unit? Yes. Question 6: Does FCI McKean require an Pennsylvania Labor and Industry elevator inspection and certificate? Yes. Question 7: Will FCI McKean provide weight for load test? Yes. Question 8: Will FCI McKean provide a lockable fuse disconnect within view of each lift? Yes. Question 9: At the camp housing unit site what is the construction material of the adjacent wall? Hollow concrete block. Correction to specifications: 1) Line 35 CBD notice dated June 29, 2001: "Submittals: Lift contractor will submit drawings and (or) manufacturer's literature for approval" should be changed to read, "Submittals: Lift contractor will submit drawings and (or) manufacturer's literature for approval within 21 days of contract award." 2) Line 47 of CBD notice dated June 29, 2001: "Keyed Call/Send Stations at each landing," should be changed to read, "Keyed Call/Send Station at lower landing," Mr. Tom Kerek, Mr. Peter Digel, and Mr. Bob Link of Garnon Mobility visited the gymnasium site at approximately 10:00 am. Upon arrival at the camp housing unit site Mr. Kerek, Mr. Digel, and Mr. Link were joined by Robert Klark, Camp Administrator. No additional issues were raised. Meeting was adjourned at approximately 11:00 am.
