- 27th Air Armament Symposium (AAS): "Arming the Vision Force" The Air Armament Center (AAC) and the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) are jointly hosting the 27th Air Armament Symposium (AAS) at Eglin AFB, Florida on 10-11 October 2001. This symposium offers an outstanding opportunity to strengthen government-to-industry relationships and provides industry an understanding of future Air Armament Center business opportunities. Symposium presentations will foster an excellent exchange of information with key leaders on technical developments and acquisition issues affecting the future of air armament. Symposium presentations will also examine future warfighter requirements and the weaponization challenges of tomorrow. All briefings and discussions will be unclassified. Industry is encouraged to share solutions, information, ideas, and provide display exhibits. Exhibit areas will be available for any industry partners wishing to utilize available display spaces for no fee. Seating is limited and registration will be offered on a first-come basis only. Please watch for future CBD announcements for web site and on-line registration information. Attendance cost is $50 for Government and $100 for Industry personnel. Following the 27th AAS on the afternoon of 11 October 2001, the Air Force Association (AFA) will host a Scholarship Golf Tournament at the Eglin Golf Course with a shotgun start beginning at 1:00 p.m. and an Awards Reception immediately following the tournament. AFA Golf Tournament registration will also be available at the AAS web site on a separate registration form for a separate charge.
