- Description
- Self-Contained Solar Radiation Measurement Package for an Aircraft Technology Transfer Opportunity Sandia National Laboratories (Livermore, California) intends to develop a system to measure up- and down-welling solar fluxes and optical depth from an airplane or other moving platform. Solar flux measurements from an aircraft require corrections that account for platform attitude and orientation, among other things, and therefore require synchronization and assimilation of data measured by independent systems. Sandia intends to develop a standalone system that integrates and miniaturizes several sensors such that they are actively maintained independently of the aircraft's orientation. Sandia is interested in partnering with industry to further develop and integrate the instrument platform, sensors, and computer interface systems to develop near/term and/or future applications via licensing or cooperative development agreements. For further information, please respond by mail or fax to Alane Dulski by August 5th, 2001 at: Sandia National Laboratories, MS 1380, P. O. Box 5800, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87185-1380. Fax: (505) 843-4181. Please indicate the date and title of this CBD notice and the type of partnering agreements your company would be most interested in entering into.
