Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.5 as supplemented with additional information included by electronic notice. The electronic announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. The Department of Veterans Affairs, White River Jct., VT, is seeking the services of a pulmonologist to function as a internist/pulmonologist for both inpatient and outpatient coverage. Work is to be performed at the VA Medical & Regional Office Center, White River Jct., VT, for a three month period with options for extending this contract beyond that date. The individual selected for this position shall provide ICU consultations, code reviews, inpatient and outpatient pulmonary consults, bronchoscopies, sleep studies, pulmonary function tests including specialized studies, supervision of pulmonary fellows and residents, and provide outpatient clinic coverage as required. Individual shall be able to function as an internal medicine hospitalist for general internal medicine patients with access to and use of subspecialty consultants. Individual shall be ACLS Certified. All personnel providing services under this contract shall speak and write English proficiently. The solicitation number is 405-48-01. This solicitation is issued as an RFP. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The acquisition is unrestricted. The NAIC code is 621111. Evaluations will be made on availability, qualifications, past performance, price, and small disadvantaged business HUB Zone participation.
