Description

The Virginia Contracting Activity on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), is seeking qualified sources to provide sign language interpreters. THIS IS A FOLLOW-ON TO THE PROCUREMENT SYNOPSIZED UNDER SUBMISSION NO. 5093B7 ON 20 DEC 2000. The performance period for this requirement is 4 months. Interpreters must be qualified and/or certified by screening as recognized by National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf or Recognized State Agency or National Association of the Deaf. Interpreters shall be capable of performing one or more of the following methods; American Sign Language, Pidgin Signed English or finger spelling. THIS REQUIREMENT REQUIRES A LEVEL SIX SECURITY CLEARANCE. Contractors must have a current Level 6 facility clearance and cleared employees at the time of award; emoloyees shall be available for 40 hours per week, and additional personnel may be required for on call services for special assignments. Responses should reference PR 03/0040Z/01. Interested parties have 5 days (Noon on 30 Jul 2001) from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualification/ capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competitive basis, which is solely within the discretion of the Virginia Contracting Activity.
