Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as implemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation DABT63-01-R-0027 is issued as a Request for Proposal. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. This solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333923, Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing. Item 0001: 40 Ton Truck Crane Crane, Grove Model Number TMS540E or Equal. Salient Features are as follows: Grove TMS540E 40-ton Truck Crane or Equal Boom; -- Minimum extension length 95 ft. full power boom' Upper Cab: 360 continuos swing with multi-disc brake counterweight mounted to frame. Cab with heater and defroster and adjustable seat Hoist/Winch. Two speeds, power up and down with automatic brake Hookblock: Hookblock w/swivel hook & safety latch, quick reeve design: Headache Ball: Min 7-ton swivel headache ball. Engine: 6-cylinder diesel, with hour meter, exhaust brake, air service indicator, low oil pressure/high water temperature, audio/visual warning system, grid heater, and immersion engine blockheater. Transmission: Automatic with a minimum of six (6) forward speeds and 1 reverse (1) speed Lower Cab: Safety glass, heater, defroster, horn, windshield washer and wiper, adjustable seat tilt telescopic steering wheel, seat belt. Item 0001AB: Crane Price Less. Price to include delivery FOB Destination to Fort Huachuca Arizona. Pickup of Trade-in also to be provided. Price to include all applicable taxes. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The evaluation procedures to be used are best value to the Government. Best overall value will include an evaluation of the equipment offered, the warranty provisions that apply to all equipment offered, past performance, and price. Price is more important than all other evaluation factors combined. Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer.
