Description

The National Marine Fisheries Service at Pascagoula, MS intends to procure the services of a company to purchase and install 2 each John Deere model 6081 or equal 350HP marine diesel engines in a 41' vessel. Work to include removal and disposal of existing 903 Cummings engines, installation of new engines, making all necessary connections, and installation of new instrument panel in wheelhouse. This acquisition is limited to offerors within 100 miles of Pascagoula, MS. where the vessel is docked. Award date is anticipated to be made before September 15, 2001 and actual work may not begin until December 1, 2001 when the vessel will be available. This service is being procured under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business. DOL Service Contract Act wage determination is applicable.
