Description

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a modification to contract No. 223-00-9804, Warehouse and Moving Services on a Sole Source Basis. The contractor's name is Shamrock Relocation Services Inc., 9325 Limestone Place, College Park, MD 20740. The purpose of the modification is to provide moving services for other federal Government Agencies. The contractor has worked for over 5 years with FDA in the planning, estimating, warehouse management, inventory control, transportation of Government property from site to site, or within site, assembly of system furniture, and other related services. Indian Health Services (IHS) does not currently have a contract in place with this firm which it would cover new work which this contract has knowledge of earlier work with FDA. IHS has asked the FDA for support allowing IHS to use FDA contract with Shamrock to accomplish this requirement. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 41 USC 253 (c) (1), only one responsible source. See Number Note 22."
