Description

The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) Sources Sought. USAMRAA is issuing this notice of intent to negotiate with the City of Frederick Maryland and Frederick County Maryland Government on a competitive basis for water and wastewater services for Fort Detrick, Maryland. Under the Defense Reform Initiative Directive (DRID) #49, the U.S. Army seeks one or more qualified regulated entities, to own, operate, and maintain potable water and collect wastewater within the installation. These services shall be in accordance with all applicable national standards, state and federal health, safety, fire and environmental laws/codes for the specified Installation. The contractor shall own, operate, and maintain each water system (potable water and wastewater) in accordance with state or district public service commission operational and maintenance standards, even if the state or district public service commission has no jurisdiction within the Installation. Responses are required by August 15, 2001, however, respondents are encouraged to inform the Contracting Officer of their intent as soon as possible so that this interest can be incorporated into the planning of this acquisition.
