- Description
- The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is to identify sources to install one or more interactive multimedia kiosk systems at FISC Norfolk facilities, outlying areas and or detachments. The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supplies, materials, equipment, hardware, software, travel, and transportation necessary to develop, provide and install a computer based, interactive, multimedia (kiosk) system for the FISC Norfolk, Norfolk, VA. The contractor will develop this interactive multimedia information using audio, video, graphics, etc. Necessary information may be required of the contractor or may be supplied by the Government. The following areas of interest are planned to be addressed on kiosk system: facilities map and directions, department/key personnel listings, business information, corporate climate survey, question survey of services performed (feedback-yes/no answers), ability to track access/use, integration with Command Web Site. The Government plans to initially install one or two kiosk systems at FISC Norfolk, 1968 Gilbert Street, Bldg. W-143[1st floor South Entrance and 1st floor West Entrance]. Planned peripheral and feature interest includes: touch screen (interactive) large screen (21") preferred, wheelchair accessible [meeting the requirements of the Rehabilitation Act as amended in 1998, Section 508, requiring that all Federal electronic public media be accessible to people with disabilities including visual, hearing, and motor skills]. The system shall consist of components manufactured by reputable producers and recognized as high quality products based on commercial consumer journal ratings. The system shall have the capability to perform with leading-edge of new commercially available technology. The system support shall support unlimited universal up-grade ability . The data integration must be achieved through the ability to access and use all existing data sources. The system shall provide for multiple user permissions enabling set only for designated personnel to edit kiosk information to maximize reliability of content and security. The system shall provide remote monitoring system that alerts technical support of system failure, system of monitor not functioning or off, printer paper low or out. Ability to be updated over the internet by system managers within a secure environment. The system shall provide for the printing of forms and applications for visitors and staff. The system shall provide access to web site with touch-surf capabilities. Unique features of offered product will be evaluated on the basis of best value to the Government. A pre-solicitation conference will be held at FISC Norfolk, Norfolk, VA. 23511. The purpose of this conference is to discuss and solicit suggestions concerning utilization of best commercial practices in the implementation of a kiosk system. This synopsis is an expression of interest only, and shall be utilized for developmental and planning purposes only. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. The vendor by submitting the requested information will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency.
