Description

Notice of intent to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Sun Microsystems. The Internal Revenue Service intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Sun Micro Systems for the following equipment/services: (2) SANB-16B-004 QLogic (Sun-Branded) 16 Port Switch, Stock # SANB-16B-004, Model #16-PORT; and QLogic 1 year 7x24x2 with 4 hour on-site. No equivalents accepted. Vendors who can provide the required equipment at prices, terms and conditions equal to or better than those which can be provided by Sun Microsystems should submit clear and convincing data in writing substantiating an ability to furnish the entire requirement. No solicitation document exists and requests for same will be considered non responsive. Responses should be submitted no later than 10:00 a.m., July 25, 2001, and must include Pricing, Shipping information, Point of Contact (name and telephone number), GSA contract Number (if applicable), delivery terms, business size, payment terms, Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS). Responses may also be faxed to (202)283-0610. Facsimile responses must contain signatures, arrive at the place and by the time specified in this synopsis and may not exceed 10 pages. The Government will not be responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of any facsimile information. Inquiries should be in writing and faxed to the number above. No telephonic inquiries will be accepted. Evaluation and award will be made on a best value basis. All responses should reference number M-1M-02-3O-RA-24. If no compelling responses are received, award will be made to Sun Microsystems. =20
