Description

This is a sole source synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation SP4700-01-T-0051 is issued as a Sole Source Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 97-25. The associated NAICS code is 541512 and small business size standard is $18 million. The Defense Distribution Center (DDC), Defense Depot Susquehanna PA (DDSP), and Defense Distribution Depot SAN (DDJC) are responsible for daily and weekly backup of vast volumes of business transactions between Department of Defense Agencies and Industry. DDC, DDSP and DDJC have a requirement to purchase the following equipment to bolster the Richmond Storage Area Network. The following items are being purchased/leased on a sole source basis: DLT Media: 500 each DLT4000/7000 Media, 500 each MEDDLTT-EVLB, EDP VIVID COLOR LABELS; DLT Cleaning Tape: 3 each 3100186501, DLT Cleaning Label (Black/White) Set of 20 Labels; Cards: 46 each FCE-6410-N, JNI FCE 6410-N PCI Card (Windows NT); Cables: 16 each 8912998904, 120 INCH SCSI-3 CABLE; 64 each 8912999103, 10M 50 Micron SC Duplex; 3 each 10083596, 12M SCSI CBL, 68MD-68VHDCI; Switches: 64 each 8912998301, Short Wave Optical GBIC, 4 each SNFCS44-0000, FC Switch 16 Auto Sensing Port; 4 each XBR-000016, Slide Rack Mount Kit, 2000 SWIT; Routers: 8 each 2 X SCSI (HVD), 1 Fibre Channel; Independent NT Server: 3 each ML530, Compaq Proliant; 3 each 9000 Rack, Compaq Rack System, plus professional services. The delivery date is 1 August 2001 to DDC, New Cumberland, Pennsylvania; DDSP, New Cumberland, Pennsylvania; and DDJC, Tracy, California.
