Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for upgrade of it's compressor system, at it's site located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The work involves phased demolition of three (3) existing reciprocating units and the purchase, delivery and installation of four (4) new air compressors to tie into existing system. The contract performance period is 10 months. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A fixed-price contract is anticipated. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business (NAICS 235110 and $11.5M). See Numbered Notes 1, 12 and 26. Contract award will be made on the basis of the best value to the Government with price, technical and past performance factors considered. Award of contract is subject to FAR Clause 52.232-18 Availability of Funds (Apr 1984). All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal that will be considered by the agency.
