Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quote solicitation. Solicitation numberDAHA37-01-T-0014, is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through federal acquisition circular 97-26. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 334290. This is an unrestricted solicitation. Award will be made to the responsible offeror proposing the best value to the government considering technical acceptability, price, delivery, and past performance. The requirement consists of the following item utilized on the Lockheed C-130J Aircraft. Aviation Headset, with acoustic noise canceling technology, (active noise reduction device). Approximate noise reduction of 18dB. Battery powered with a single plug-in for hookup to military aircraft electrical system with 24 volts. Headset weight; approximately 17oz. Low Impedance Microphone terminal, Impedance nominally, 5 ohms. Ear cups with separate MIC control. Include padded protective case. Part Number: BOSE Aviation Headset X or equal. Drawings or specifications are not available, and can not be furnished by the Government. Quantity required is 47 each. Approximate delivery date: 1 November 2001. The contractor shall furnish a Certificate of Conformance in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.246-15. Certificate of Conformance must be submitted in the format specified in the clause. The following FAR Subpart 12 provisions and clauses are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items , FAR 52.212-3 Alt 1 (Offeror Representations and Certifications for Commercial Items), with their offer.
