Description

NAICS Code 235990 -- All Other Special Trade Contractors. Previously, this notification stated that this procurement is set aside for emerging small business contractors. CORRECTION: This procurement is NOT set aside; the Government is seeking full and open competition in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Scope of Work: Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to perform street striping on the Denver Federal Center in accordance with scope of work and drawings. Contractor shall sweep all areas to be restriped, mark all previously painted or striped streets, and complete striping. Existing markings include, but are not limited to, shoulder (edge) striping, existing crossings, stop lines, center striping, and islands. Striping shall be accomplished using Colorado Highway Department paint with reflective beads on streets, crossings, and stop lines. Stripes shall be protected until dry. All work shall be accomplished in August and September on weekends and/or established Government holidays between hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Work shall be during daylight hours when the ambient air and pavement temperatures are at least 40 degrees F. and when pavement surface and weather conditions are conducive to attain satisfactory results. Estimated range of procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit shall be provided to the Government before work begins. Expect to issue RFQ o/a 7/30/2001 with bid opening o/a 8/8/2001. Specification portion will be issued electronically via FedBizOpps at http://www.eps.gov or http://www.FedBizOpps.gov. This site provides instructions for downloading the solicitation file. Bidder is responsible to monitor the site for amendments (if any). Drawings will NOT be posted electronically.
