Description

The Project consists of dredging approximately 422,000 cubic yards of material by constructing an 80-foot wide by 7-foot deep channel NGVD (National Geodetic Vertical Datum) through Mill Cove to improve circulation and flow of water through the Cove. The proposed channel is approximately 35,000 feet long and will connect the previously enlarged entrances to Mill Cove at the west end and north end. All dredged material will be placed in Cell A on the west end of Bartram Island Upland Disposal Area. Heavy construction and marine equipment will be required to perform work on this project, including but not limited to hydraulic pipeline dredge or clamshell on barge, booster pumps, work barges, bulldozer and front-end loader. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Invitation For Bid will be issued on or about 15 August 2001 and open on or about 18 September 2001. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Bidders will be provided a CD-ROM at no cost. Interested offerors must register electronically.
