Description

The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Region 6, Olympic National Forest, is issuing a Request for Proposal for Relocating Brown's Creek Campground on the Hood Canal District. The acquisition requires the work to be completed in two phases. The first phase involves the construction of the relocated campground. The second phase includes the construction of parking sites and decommissioning of the existing campground including road 23400600. This work consists of construction of roads, camp sites and parking sites, installing tables, fire rings, vault toilets and two hand pump water wells, and asphalt paving of roads and parking sites. The decommissioning involves the removal of old tables, fire rings, and existing vault toilets, overflow channel reconditioning, flood plain restoration, and decommissioning of road 23400600. Solicitation #R6-OLY-1-27-O will be issued on or about August 10, 2001, with proposals to be received by September 11, 2001. The solicitation will be advertised as full and open competition as a commercial item under FAR Part 12 procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 234990, with a size standard of $27.5M. The Davis Bacon Act applies to this acquisition.
