Description

It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to negotiate with The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Inc. (ASHP), under FAR Part 6.3, Other Than Full and Open Competition, for a license to obtain expanded access to consumer-oriented drug information of the MedTeach consumer drug information database to complement other information available on MEDLINEplus. ASHP has been a well-respected authority providing drug information for patients for over 60 years. The MedTeach product employs easy-to-understand language and uses a patient-friendly approach to providing medication information. Unique features include: explicit information on how to take each medication, and highlighted warnings of possible adverse effects when appropriate. The anticipated period of performance is one year from date of award with two successive one-year option periods. All responsible Offerors are to submit current pricing, delivery time, payment terms, cage code, Dunn and Bradstreet number, Tax Identification Number and all applicable specifications regarding this solicitation. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available, however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the NLM. Firms interested in responding to this notice must be able to provide professional service as stated above. Responses should sufficiently demonstrate the firm's ability to meet the government's requirements. Responses are required within fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this notice.
