Description

This solicitation is for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.6 and 13.5. This requirement provides for the washing of CH-53D helicopters at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, Island of Oahu. The Government projects the number of helicopters to be washed each month to range from 30 to 70. A fixed-price contract is anticipated with a performance period from 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002 with four (4) 12-month option periods. A site visit will be included in the solicitation. The Government intends to include clause FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services in the solicitation. See Note 1 (100% small business set-aside). When issued, the solicitation will be posted at: http://www.cic.pearl.fisc.navy.mil/contract/rfp-rfq/index.html. Subsequent amendments to the solicitation, if any, will only be publicized via the referenced web page. The Government will not mail, fax, or email the solicitation or any amendment thereto. Because this will be a web based solicitation, a Bidders Mailing list will not be maintained. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced web page early and periodically for any solicitation amendments.
