Description
UNICOR FPI intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract for the following items: Polyurethane Padding (Core #1) FAB #'s 3349, 3350, and 3351 -- 35"X80"X6", suitable for the sue as Core #1 material for mattresses, Polyester Padding (Core #2) FAB #'s 5168, 5169, 5170, and 5171, Denier Nylon Fabric (Mattress Ticking) FAB 5166 -- 100% Densified polyester batting mattress core, minimum 20% low melt content, and Fire Barrier fabric FAB 5167 -- Tubluar sleeve construction: 1X1 Rib Knit: Weight: 6.5oz Per Linear Yard Minimum, Width: 30" minimum. The above components will be constructed into a mattress by the contractor using Core #1 and Core #2 which shall be tested by an independent laboratory for compliance with California Technical Bulletin #129. A sample of two (2) Each finished mattresses is required each constructed using the material solicited above with Core #1 and Core #2. Submission of this sample shall be a conditions of contract award. The period of performance shall be for one (1) base year with two (2) option years if exercised. Delivery shall be FOB Destination at USP Atlanta, GA. The Guaranteed Minimum Amount is: $25,000.00, The Delivery Order Minimum is: $10,000.00, The Delivery Order Maximum is: $100,000(base and each option year if exercised). Delivery acceptance is: 30 days after receipt of each delivery order. This requirement is all or none. This requirement is domestic only with the exception of FAB8556. Samples are not required for this requirement, rather a sample of 2 each finished mattresses be submitted to an independent laboratory which shall be in compliance with the California Technical Bulletin #129. The laboratory test results along with a Certificate of Compliance for each component shall accompany the offer. Failure to include this information with the offer will result in your offer not being considered for award. This award will be based on the Best Value to the Government. The evaluation factors are as follows: Price, Past Performance, Specifications, and Laboratory Test Results showing a passing result accompanied by Certificate of Conformances for all components statingeach component is in compliance with the specifications under this solicitation. Additional information will be included in the solicitation which is due to be issued on or about July 23, 2001. Please access UNICOR's website at www.unicor.gov for a complete copy.
