Description

The U.S. Government intends to solicit and negotiate an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to acquire AN/BQS-15A EC-18 Hydrophone Circuit Card Assemblies, an upgrade to the BQS-15 EC-17 Mine Hunting Sonar Set. The assemblies shall be manufactured in accordance with NSWC Crane Statement of Work and UT-ARL drawings MA000279 & PL and MA000444 & PL. Distribution of the drawings is governed by the Arms Export Control Act and is limited to U.S. DoD contractors only. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of solicitation release; however, the solicitation will not close prior to 4 September 2001. DoD contractors may request copies of the drawings by e-mail at: mundy_g@crane.navy.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted. It is anticipated that an IDIQ, firm-fixed-price, supply type contract for a minimum of 8 sets and a maximum of 24 sets will result. The ordering period will be for three years. A first article consisting of a quantity of one each of the following parts shall be required NLT 30 days after delivery of Government furnished material to the contractor: MA000279-001, MA000279-002, MA000279-003, MA000279-004, MA000279-005, MA000279-006, MA000279-007, MA000279-008, MA000444-001. The first article will be subjected to non-destructive testing and may become part of the contract minimum quantity. Final inspection and acceptance shall be at NSWC Crane. Delivery of contract minimum quantity shall be due NLT 60 days after acceptance of the first article and contractor receipt of production quantity GFM. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered.
