Description

The Social Security Administration, Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA), requires contractor provided services to digitally transcribe approximately 300 OHA hearings conducted by videoconferencing during a test period. The transcription services will begin approximately September 1, 2001 and last about 60 days through approximately October 31, 2001. The transcription services will require the contractor to provide a hard copy output of each hearing as well as a Microsoft Word 97 text file and a digitized audio file on CD-ROM. Offerors responding to this requirement must be capable of establishing a bridge between their service and the SSA/OHA network. During the course of a given hearing regardless of the number of locations involved in the videoconference, a video/audio capture of the entire hearing will be conducted by the contractor. For this test period, the OHA hearings conducted by videoconferencing will be held between OHA locations in Chicago, Illinois and Flint, Michigan. Solicitation # SSA-RFQ-01-0015 will be available after July 20, 2001, as a Word file for downloading from the FedBizOpps Internet website -- http://www.fedbizopps.gov . Quotations/offers are due by 3:00 PM on Friday, August 17, 2000. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside.
