- This action originally publicized in the CBDNet dated 29 June 2001 is amended as follows: The date and time for submission of quotes is extended till 4:00 p.m. on 24 July 2001. Faxed quotes will be accepted, you may fax it to (910) 432-9345. Additionally, the following responses are provided for contractor's questions. Q1.General -- Where can I locate a PDF file of TC 31-34 Humanitarian Demining Operations Handbook to review? A1. The current Web Site for the TC is at the GENERAL DENNIS J. REIMER DOCTRINE AND TRAINING DIGITAL LIBRARY, UNITED STATES ARMY TRAINING AND DOCTRINE COMMAND (USATRADOC) linked at http://155.217.58.58/cgi-bin/atdl.dll/tc/31-34/tocx.htm Final Department of the Army-approved doctrinal and training publications, including many of the publications listed here, may be accessed at the General Dennis J. Reimer Training and Doctrine Digital Library. You must register and receive a password for access to restricted-distribution publications. Q2. What is the total number of pages for TC 31-34 Humanitarian Demining Operations Handbook? A2. The current publication is 140 pages, the revised publication will not necessarily be the same. Q3. What is the paper size of the TC 31-34 Humanitarian Demining Operations Handbook? This information is required to make estimates for printing two (2) original paper copies of all draft Training Circulars and Instructional Modules, ten (10) copies of the final drafts of the project in adherence to C.8.5. A3. 11 X 8.5 inch. Q4. Should my company be awarded this project, upon completion of the project will we as the contractor be allowed to quote this project as one of our references upon completion? A4. YES. Q5. Section C.1.2 -- Are there any requirements under this contract to travel to support any or all the five geographically oriented combatant or theatre commands, (GOOTC)? A5. Support to the GOOTC in not considered necessary but travel to each should be considered for obtaining information and lessons learned from past HDO mission success. If the contractor can receive this information via telephone, e-mail, or other means, then that is their choice. Q6. Are there any requirements to travel to any or all GOOTC to interview personnel? See C.4.2.1 to C.4.2.7. A6. Same as A5. Information may be available via telephone or e-mail but personal interviews should also be considered. If the contractor chooses, travel will be necessary to interview USASOC subordinate units (SF, CA, PSYOP) to determine successful lessons learned and model construction at Ft. Bragg and other locations within and out of the United States. Travel may also be necessary to interview each of the Regional CINC representatives for the same. Q7. C.4.1. -- What is the numerical quantity of the series of discrete information modules on research pertaining to individual topics? A7. Consider three the minimum and eight the maximum. Q8. C.4.2.7.3 -- Where is the location of the Humanitarian Demining Training Center (HDTC) to train ARSOF? Should travel requirements to this facility be required? A8. Ft. Leonard Wood, MO POCs and telephone numbers will be provided. Q9. C.4.2.7.4. -- What is the definition of the acronym JMU? A9. James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22807 University Mine Action Information Center, (540) 568-2718. Q10. C.4.2.7.5. -- What is the definition of the acronym OPTEMPO? A10. OPTEMPO is the term that represents Operational Tempo regarding the amount of time soldiers deploy outside of the United States in support of this kind of mission. Q11. C.4.3.1. -- What is the numerical quantity of the series of information modules? A11. See question for C.4.1 above. Same as C.4.1 above. Q12. C.6.3. -- What is the definition of 'visits' and information exchanges with USASOC' under this section? A12. It maybe necessary to visit the subordinate units of USASOC to obtain lessons learned form past successful HDOmissions. Q13. C.8.1 -- What is the meaning of the word 'staff' in the sentence? A13. USASOC Representative will have the document reviewed by the appropriate offices for applicability. Q14. C.8.2 -- Is travel required to obtain any of the information in this section? A14. Depends on what is requested. Q15. C.8.3. -- In addition, is a printer provided with the computer? A15. Yes
