Description

NASA/LaRC is hereby soliciting information for potential sources for side-pumped conduction cooled laser diode arrays (LDA). The laser diode arrays will be used as a pump source to produce a two-micron, diode-pumped, room temperature, solid-state laser. The laser diode arrays will be used to side pump Ho:Tm:YLF laser rods. The arrays will be housed in a laser head that will incorporate the arrays, the laser rod, and heat sink. The array system will be used in a research laboratory environment. The operation of the laser diode arrays shall be: a. Wavelength: 792nm 13nm b. Peak Power: 600 W c. Operating Temperature: 20oC at heat sink d. Pulse Length: 1.0 msec e. Pulse Repetition Frequency: 10Hz (maximum of 13Hz) No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in the CBD and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these cites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement.
