Description

The proposed procurement is for the design, development, test, and documentation of four (4) Audio Intercommunication Systems (AIS)- two (2) prototype and two (2) engineering development models (EDM)) for the EA-6B. Additionally, there is a requirement for contractor support during aircraft installation and Navy testing. In the latter portion of the testing, a decision will be made regarding full-scale production. The anticipated production will be for approximately 124 units. The AIS replaces the current AN/AIC-14A system in all EA-6B configurations. The AIS shall interface directly with EA-6B radio, wiring and primary power assets and available mounting space. The AIS shall provide two-way voice intercommunication (interphone) between the four EA-6B aircrew, and selection, distribution and control of radio communication audio and radio transceiver transmission.
