Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.This solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-20. The solicitation number is for F34601-01-Q-1N5547. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). Issue Date: 18 July 2001. Closing date for quotations will be received at the issuing office until 3:00 PM on 6 Aug 2001. Source(s) is/are (Cage 63005) Rolls-Royce Corp, 2001 Tibbs Ave., Indianapolis IN 46206 and (Cage 33617) Electro Methods, South Windsor CT 06074. Size/Dimension: 7 inches by 6 inches by 5 inches; predominate material is stainless steel; applicable to the T-56-15 engine. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336412. This is a requirement for NSN: 2840-00-015-8549DQ. Function: The front bearing case shrouds the lab oil. Seal minimizes air leakage into the turbine front bearing areas and prevents oil leakage out of the turbine front bearing area. Qty 173 ea; P/N: 6846935; Government and Commercial surplus may be acceptable. Items must be new/unused and manufactured by Rolls Royce Inc. Certification of manufacturer is required.
