Description

The Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary, NMFS intends to procure the services of a ship builder to install a dive platform on the stern of a 82 foot vessel to provide safe access into and out of the water by SCUBA divers in full gear. This will require that the aft deck be made clear of all obstructions and air vents must be installed to provide cooling to the main hold, in which a breathing air compressor system will be installed by others. This acquisition is limited to offerors within 450 miles of Freeport, Texas where the vessel is docked. Award date is anticipated to be made by August 31, 2001. This service is being procured under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is unrestricted as to business size. The NAICS code is 336611.
