Description

This work will consist of constructing about 4 miles of earthen levee. The levee height varies between 10 feet and 15 feet high. Two structures to convey water through the levee will be required. Borrow will come from adjacent borrow areas to the levee. An existing county road will be ramped up and over the new levee. Seeding and mulching between 50 and 60 acres will be required. This area is currently protected by an existing non-federal levee. Solicitations will be issued on or about 1 August 2001. Bids will be opened on or about 1 September 2001. Estimated cost of proposed procurement: Between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Estimated time of completion: 365 Calendar Days. NAIC Code: 234990.
