Description

This solicitation is to obtain services to reconstruct Williamson campground, Shady Campground, minor reconstruction at Pole Bridge Picnic Area and the development of two horse camps. Campground reconstruction consists of relignment, grading, surfacing of camp spurs, culvert removal and fabrication and installation of site facilities, including bulletin boards, vehicle barriers, site signs, campsite markers, boulder replacement, registration stations, picnic tables, and fire rings. Also included is excavation and backfill of concrete vault toilets. Picnic area reconstructions consists of excavation and backfill for toilets, site sign and picnic table installation. Horse camp construction consists of two multi-site stock camping areas, culvert installation, including fabrication and installation of hitchrails, picnic table and fire rings. This contract also includes installation of site signs and bulletin boards throughout the corridor at numerous existing sites. McCully Trailhead Relocation consists of removal of facilities and obliteration of the old trailhead site, and reconstruction of an access road, parking lot, trail and fabrication and installation of facilities. The project is located on the Eagle Cap Ranger District, Wallowa County, Oregon. The estimated start work date is September 30, 2001. The engineers estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000.
