Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, supplies, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to extend the primary electrical distribution system at the U.S. Coast Guard Loran Support Unit, Wildwood, New Jersey (Cape May county). In general the work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Disconnect existing electrical distribution feeder and abandon in place. 2. Trench between two existing transformers and install new 5 KV cables to extend electrical distribution system. 3. Install new fault indicators on new 5 KV cables. 4. Install three new lightning arresters in one existing transformer. 5. Change taps on one existing transformer and verify correct voltage output. 6. Disconnect existing feeders to two sewage pump stations and abandon in place. 7. Trench between existing main distribution panel and two existing sewage pump stations. 8. Install new circuit breaker in main distribution panel and new feeders to the sewage pump station. 9. Install conduit under all parking lots, sidewalks, and where shown on the contract drawings. 10. Patch asphalt parking lots to match existing where shown on contract drawings. 11. Install all medium and low voltage cable terminations. 12. Test all cables. 13. All other items and services required to complete the system. There is no charge for the solicitation package. No Bid Bond is required. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 60 calendar days. Award will be made to the lowest responsible quoter. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235310, with a size standard of $11.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. Solicitation packages will be mailed on or about 1 August 2001.
