Description

This project consists of two sub projects constructed as one construction job with options. Repair Off Loading Header Drive provides for a new asphalt drive, relocating/replacing fencing, removing existing concrete pavement and curbing and replacing with a wider section, installation of a spill containment system including curbing around fuel ports, trench drain, piping, lift station with pump, lockable valves, and necessary site work. Construct Fill Stands provides two new JP-8 fill stands, associated piping, and equipment including pantograph arms, deadman shutoff controls, installation of two Government furnished pumps, two API horizontal filter separators, emergency shutoff, associated controls, concrete paving, site work, and utilities. The existing fuel loading and off loading system must remain in operation and extensive phasing will be required. Duration of the construction project will be approximately 210 days. Estimated cost range is between $1 Million and $5 Million. Solicitation to be issued on or about 2 August 2001. Proposals are due on or about 4 September 2001 at 1400 hours. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 234930, Industrial Nonbuilding Structure Construction, which corresponds to SIC Code 1629. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million. This is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE solicitation. Offerors from all qualified small business concerns are solicited. The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specs will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through 3.5" diskette, CD-ROM and/or the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
