- Description
- United States Armed Forces Reserve Center consisting of a Training Center Building, Organizational Maintenance Support (OMS) Building, Wash Platform, renovation of an existing Training Center Building, and addition of a mezzanine and metal caging to an existing Warehouse Building for Taft USARC, Orlando, Florida. The work to be preformed consists of the construction of three structures, renovation of two existing structures and the construction of adjacent access drives and Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) parking and Military Equipment Parking (MEP) areas. The three new structures consist of an 11,252 square meter (124,055 SF) three story Training Center Building, a 795 square meter (8,557 SF) OMS Building and a Wash Platform. There is one building renovation, which consists of an existing 2,065 square meter (22,238 SF) single story Training Center Building. Work also consists of providing and installing a mezzanine and storage caging in an existing Warehouse Building. The work includes, but is not limited to, earthwork, water main, sanitary sewer, gas line, underground telephone and electrical service, bituminous paving, concrete paving, landscaping, landscape irrigation, concrete work, masonry, structural & metal fabrications, carpentry, insulation, standing seam metal roofing (SSMR), exterior insulation & finish system (EIFS), joint sealants, doors (steel, wood, aluminum, security vault, operable partition and overhead coiling), door hardware, glazing, gypsum wallboard, ceramic tile, painting, vinyl wall covering, visual display boards, toilet compartments, exterior & interior signage, wire mesh partitions, toilet accessories, projection screens, elevator, plumbing, piping, HVAC, fire sprinkler system, fire detection system, electrical distribution, lighting and telephone. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 233320. Bid documents are available on or about 13 August 2001. Estimated cost of work is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. Unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered. Note No. 1: Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive one CD-ROM. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil then click on contract bids. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must include the firms physical address, telephone, a valid fax number and a point of contact. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily, for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax, posting for download to the aforementioned web page, or CD-ROM. The plans and specifications will be issued on Compact Disc (CD-ROM) only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. Note No. 2: All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium.
