The Professional Aerospace Contractors Association of New Mexico and the Air Force Research Laboratory will host their Fifteenth Annual BRIEFING FOR INDUSTRY August 7 and 8, 2001 at the Albuquerque Marriott Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During this comprehensive two-day symposium, the participating government agencies will describe their organizational objectives, discuss emerging technologies, and identify contracting opportunities to the audience of current and prospective contractors. Presentations will cover multiple topics including: research and development; test and evaluation; technical and analytical support; operations and maintenance; systems procurement; and facilities construction. Organizations scheduled to participate include: Air Force Research Laboratory (including Wright-Patterson AFB directorates); Space and Missile Systems Center (featuring Detachment 12, the Airborne Laser System Program Office, and the Space Based Laser Program Management Office); Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC); White Sands Missile Range; NASA's White Sands Test Facility; 46th Test Group; the High Energy Laser Joint Technology Office; and the U.S. Department of Energy. Invited distinguished national guest speakers include General Ronald Fogleman, USAF, former chief of staff; Major General Paul Nielsen, USAF, commander, AFRL; Brigadier General William Wilson, Jr., USAF, vice commander Space and Missile Systems Center, and Congresswoman Heather Wilson, U.S. House of Representatives.
