Description

NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) to establish and document the circuit breaker schedules for the electrical panels in buildings N200, N201, N202, N202A, N203, and N204. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is advertised under Full and Open Competition procedures. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541330 and $4.0 M, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ2-36722-PFM is on or about 07/23/01 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 08/06/01. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the RFQ. After release of the RFQ, NASA, Code JFP, will designate the actual scope of the above listed project requirement at the scheduled "job walk-through" to occur on 07/26/01. Possible bidders shall meet at NASA Ames Research Center in Building 19 Room 1004. A copy of the building plans will be available at this time for those who notify this office at least two days prior to the walk-through. Interested parties must contact Patricia F. Mendoza at 650-604-6332 or pmendoza@mail.arc.nasa.gov to receive copies at the walk-through. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
