- Description
- The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Office of Managed Care through the Division of Acquisition Management, Program Support Center , intends to award a sixteen (16) month sole source simplified acquisition to JCAHO, One Renaissance Blvd., Oakbrook Terrace, IL, 60181. The objectives of this simplified acquisition is to support secondary analyses of JCAHO's ORYX data and accreditation information for the purpose of testing the feasibility of creating a common, objective set of measures of health care quality for mental health and substance abuse services. The results of this project will provide SAMHSA-funded programs and the larger health care delivery system with measures of access, appropriateness, and outcomes of behavioral health care services that they can use to improve accountability and quality. Closing date is July 30, 2001. This proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement that demonstrates their ability to provide the services required. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such document will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days from the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the award to JCAHO. =09
