Description

NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV, China Lake, CA intends to negotiate on an other-than-competitive basis with SEI, Asheville, NC for a firm fixed price order under Basic Ordering Agreement N68936-00-G-0103 for Low Profile Floatation Collars, derivatives, subsystems/components and related assemblies and support development, testing, training and modification of the collars for Weapons Division. Order 0004 will be for maximum of 250 LPU-37/P Type IIA LPFC for U.S. Navy E-2C aircraft and maximum of 1,410 LPU-34/P Type II Low Profile Floatation Collars for U.S. Army. The LPU-34/P is the designated qualified life preserver for the U.S. Army. SEI retains proprietary rights to the floatation collars and is the only source for these collars. Delivery Schedule for E-2C: 120 days after date of award with early and partial shipments acceptable. Delivery of the LPU-37/P's has priority over the LPU-34/P's. Delivery Schedule for Army: 200 units per month with first delivery 120 days after date of award with early and partial shipments acceptable. Final delivery by September 30, 2002. FOB: Destination. Delivery destinations will be specified in the order. Solicitation will be issued on or about 16 days from date of this synopsis (August 1, 2001) and will be available through the China Lake 2.0 Contracts Competency homepage at http://www.nawcwpns.navy.mil/~contract/homepubl.htm.
