Description
Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, supplies, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary for the proper installation of security fencing at the U.S. Coast Guard Loran Support Unit, Wildwood, New Jersey (Cape May county). Work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Add additional chain-link fencing to the existing fence along the western property border. Sand dunes have collected at the foot of the existing fence, new fencing will be added in order to raise the height of the fence. The existing fence will also be lengthened approximately 30' into the adjacent waterway. 2. Install a new 6' high chain-link fence behind the dune line along the southeastern portion of the property. This fence will run north from the existing rock jetty at Cape May Inlet inland approx 300' and then off into the brush 125'. This fence will require fence posts to be placed on the existing rock jetty. This fence will also include two 12' wide roller gates. 3. Install a new 6' ornamental security fence and gate at the property line along the main road. To the west of the main road, this fence will replace an existing wooden picket fence 180' long. To the east of the main road, this fence will run 45' off into the brush. This fence includes a remote-operated, one piece, 30' rolling security gate. It is strongly recommended that a site visit be made to check existing conditions, measurements, layout, etc. There is no charge for the solicitation package. No Bid Bond is required. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 60 calendar days. Award will be made to the lowest responsible quoter. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235990, with a size standard of $11.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. Solicitation packages will be mailed on or about 31 July 2001.
