Description

Provide all supervision, plant, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform all work in connection with the demolition of existing control tower and lanes and the construction of a new control tower and new lanes to include precast target coffins, drainage system and grading at Range 41A, Fort Drum, NY. Work also includes construction of a 9' high x 120' long x 3' wide dividing wall constructed with SACON blocks; concrete sidewalks; electrical power to control tower; data lines and control circuits from control tower to target coffins; and installation of metal siding and roofing on an existing maintenance building in strict accordance with the Statement of Work, specifications, and drawings and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. The contract type shall be "Firm Fixed Price Construction". This procurement is Set-Aside for small business concerns pursuant to the Department of Defense reinstatement of Small Business Set-Asides for certain acquisitions under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 234990. This procurement is subject to availability of funds and is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. The anticipated issue/posting date will be on or about August 1, 2001. The DUE DATE for the solicitation shall be 30 days after actual issuance/posting on Fort Drum's Web Page. All responsible small businesses may submit a bid, which will be considered. The solicitation will not be mailed out and no Bidder's Mailing List (BML) will be maintained. The entire bid package will be available for downloading from the Fort Drum web page, no hard copies will be provided. All sources wishing to bid are required to monitor the Fort Drum Contracting web page for any/all amendments to the solicitation. Failure to respond to any amendments may render the bid to be considered as non-responsive and thereby rejected. The bids must be supplied in hard copy form to the Directorate of Contracting, Fort Drum, NY, no electronic bids will be accepted.
