Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award one (1) contract for Phlebotomy Services. All duties will be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution / Federal Satellite Low -- Elkton, Ohio. The contractor will be responsible for: maintaining accountability of sharps containers, security of the lab, maintain labs that are performed and ensuring the information is sent to the Medical Director, perform hematology labs and urinalysis testing, reading Medical Director orders for lab requests and performing appropriate testing; in addition to other duties listed in the Statement of Work. The term of the contract will be from date of award through 12 months and include three -- (one year) option periods. The contractor must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and licensed to practice Phlebotomy in the state of Ohio. The contractor will work five (5) sessions per week. Each session consists of six hours in duration and may be combined on visits, but will not exceed 30 hours per week. The work days shall be Monday thru Friday between the hours of 6:00 AM -- 4:00 PM. Solicitation packages will be mailed on approximately July 27, 2001, with an approximate due date of August 17, 2001. Note -- "See Note #1."
