Description

This is a firm fixed price construction contract. This proposed procurement provides for the repair of Pier Bravo at Naval Air Station, North Island, Coronado, California. The work includes removal of the existing treated timber fender system, construction of new fender system, repairs to pier underdeck with polymer-modified portland cement concrete, demolition of the top 4 inches of the concrete pier deck, new cast-in-place concrete on the pier deck, other concrete repairs on the deck, and other related work. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. -- Contract to be awarded to the responsible offeror who provides the "Lowest Price Technically Acceptable" proposal. The following evaluation criteria have been established: Factor 1- Experience and Factor 2- Price. The following subcontracting goals are proposed for this project: Small Business -- 23%, Small Disadvantaged Business -- 5%, Woman-Owned Small Business -- 5%, HubZone -- 2% and Veteran-Owned Small Business -- 3%. -- The site visit is scheduled for August 8, 2001 at 9:00 A.M. (local time) and the pre-proposal conference will follow immediately. -- This is not a public bid opening. -- Procurement is unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 234990 and the annual size standard is $27,500,000. -- Solicitation will be limited to electronic medium and will be available on 3 August 2001 at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil.
