Description

PROJECT TITLE AND LOCATION: Napa River Flood Protection Project, Demolition for Contract 1B and 2 East, Napa River, California. THIS PROPOSED CONTRACT IS UNRESTRICTED. JOB DESCRIPTION: Work will consist of demolishing approximately 62 structures of various types of construction and configuration. There are reinforced concrete structures, sheet metal commercial structures, masonry residential structures, and structures from a decommissioned waste treatment facility. Asbestos and lead paint abatement will be required in many of the structures. Asphalt and concrete road and parking surfaces will also be removed. Recycling of demolished material is encouraged. A Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan will be provided to the Contractor for implementation and maintenance. NAICS CODE: This procurement will be conducted under NAICS code 235940. The size standard for this NAICS code is $11,500,000.00. Large business competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on the part of the work intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontracting are 61.4% for small business, 9.1% for small disadvantaged business, and 5.0% for small business/women owned. A firm that submits a plan with lesser goals must submit written rationale to support goals submitted. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
