Description

This project is for construction of the Highland Scenic Highway Eastern Parking Area on the Marlinton Ranger District of the Monongahela National Forest in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. The parking area is approximately 72 ft.X 220 ft. The work consists of, but is not limited to: 1) Clearing and Grading the site; 2) Construction of Drainage Devices; 3) Asphalt Paving; 4) Miscellaneous Site Improvements; and 5) Removal and Resetting of the existing Forest Service Decorative Sign. There will be a pre-quote meeting/site visit on August 9, 2001 at 10:00 a.m., 0.10 mile west of Highway US 219 on the Highland Scenic Highway State Route 150. The contractor will have 90 calendar days to complete the project after receiving a notice to proceed. The NAICS Code for this project is 234110, Highway and Street Construction. This project will be solicited using the Invitation for Bid format, on an unrestricted basis, with no set-asides. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $100,000 and $500,000.
