Description

Phase I of the solicitation is for the construction of two (2) Colony Houses and associated site and utility work. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, transportation, and supervision for the construction of two colony houses at the Poultry Production & Safety Research Unit of the USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Fayetteville, Arkansas. The work consists of 1) Concrete and Masonry work, 2) Wood and Plastics -- ceiling, framing, plates, headers, doors windows, roof sheathing, plywood, soffit, truss, gable, etc., 3) Thermal and Moisture Protection -- Batt insulation, rockwool, shingles, vapor barrier, etc., 4) Doors and Windows -- doors, door frames, hinges, lockset, threshold, weatherstrip, etc., 5) Finishes -- concrete panel, fiberglass reinforced panel, vinyl siding, etc., 6) Special Construction -- fabric fence panels, 7) Mechanical -- HVAC, fans, dampers, diffusers, drain piping, duct insulation, ductwork, exhaust fans, filters, floor drains, house faucets, interceptor, medicators, roof-top A/C unit water piping, 8) Electrical -- lighting, power distribution, 9) Site Work -- Chain Link Fencing, Gas, Grading, Drainage, roads, and walks, new primary service and distribution, sewer, site lighting, water. The period of performance is 240 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The anticipated IFB issue date is July 27, 2001, with opening date 30 days later.
