Description

This is a modification to combined synopsis/solicitation number SB1341-01-Q-0861, advertised on July 3, 2001. In response to the above referenced synopsis/solicitation, the following questions were submitted. The answers are the official Government response to those questions. The closing date and time for submission of quotes remains unchanged. 1. Does the system need to be real time? Yes, the system requires this capability. A video output port could take care of this. 2. What type mounts are necessary? The Government requires a C-mount for direct attachment to the microscope. 3. Will the CCD Camera system be used outside? The camera system will be used inside a laboratory, not outdoors. 4. Will the CCD Camera system be used in low light? Yes, extremely low light levels, the system has to be able to detect single photons. Specifications #1 and #4 of the solicitation contain this information (high sensitivity and low read noise). 5. Is the contractor responsible for installation and integration? No, the Government will be responsible for installation and integration. All other specifications, terms and conditions remain unchanged.
