- Description
- (i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. (ii) Solicitation F44600-01-T-0022 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Part 13. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. (iv) This acquisition is set-aside for small business; NAICS Code is 324121 with a size standard of 500 employees. (v) Applicable contract line item (CLIN): CLIN 0001 Asphalt, Quantity: Not to Exceed 840, Unit: Ton; CLIN 0001 Description: Contractor shall deliver approximately 840 tons of S-5 hot mix asphalt to the Rapid Runway Repair (RRR) site located at Langley AFB, VA near the North Ramp as directed by the contracting officer or designated representative; Delivery shall approximate 210 tons per day over a period of four days. The contractor must have the ability and resources to pace the delivery (i.e. either expedite or phase) according to the instructions of the contracting officer or designated representative based on site conditions. The contractor shall also have adequate transportation resources to deliver the material timely and without impeding the project schedule.=20 The contractor shall be able to make deliveries between 6:30am to 6:00pm EST, Monday through Friday and Saturdays as required; (vii) Delivery Periods: The contracting officer or designated representative will schedule specific delivery dates within the periods stated herein upon 48 hours notice. CLIN 0001: 1 Aug 01 thru 20 Aug 01; Delivery dates are subject to change due to weather conditions or work progression; such changes shall not increase the price of the purchase order if the date change(s) are made within the specified delivery period. (viii) The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix) N/A. Award based on lowest quote received. (x) Offerors are reminded to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items Alt I and III and DFARS 252.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items with its offer.
